The 18th of October 2008, 32 enterprises and organizations have founded the Afghanistan National Seed Association.

In December 2008, the board of director changes the name of the association for regulation process to ANSOR: Afghanistan National Seed Organisation.

This was done under the aegis of the Variety and Seed Industry Development project, which is implemented by FAO and MAIL with founding from European Union. We thank these organizations for their great support.

Our new association has the important mission to support the seed companies in order to bring to the farmers high quality seeds and improve food security in Afghanistan.
